Patricia Florig Moury was born and raised in Mt. Lebanon, PA. She received her Bachelor of Music Education degree from Duquesne University, and a Master of Fine Arts in Piano Performance degree from Carnegie Mellon University. She has 30+ years’ experience teaching piano lessons to students of all ages from beginner to advanced. Patricia has performed as an accompanist at various churches in the South Hills. She also has experience as a general music educator in the public schools. She has taught in the Mt. Lebanon School District, the Peters Township School District and in the Bethel Park School District. In addition, Patricia is a former faculty member of the Applied Music Institute, Music Department of Montgomery College in Rockville, Maryland and is a former music faculty member of the Jewish Community Center of Pittsburgh.
Patricia was awarded twice in the Pittsburgh Concert Society Auditions, as Alternate Performer and as a Finalist.
Patricia is also a published author. Her article, “Preparing the Young Child for Recital,” appeared in the journal The Piano Quarterly and “When Students Relocate: Paving the Way for Parents and Pupils,” was published in the journal American Music Teacher.
Patricia is a member of the Music Teachers National Association as a permanent professional certified teacher of music in piano. She is also a member of the Pennsylvania Music Teachers Association.
Patricia is the mother of 3 adult children and resides in Bethel Park with her husband.
